Hawk-Woods NPD-TA4 shoe is a versatile accessory that allows users to power their Sound Devices mixers, specifically the 833, 888, and Scorpio models, using NP1 batteries. This handy device also enables the transmission of comms data to the mixer, which can be viewed on the mixer screen. The accompanying data NP1 cable has a length of 45cm and is essential for passing the comms through to the mixer.

It is worth noting that while standard NP1 batteries can also be used with the NPD-TA4 shoe, they do not support comms transmission. This means that users will not be able to access comms data on the mixer screen if using standard NP1 batteries. For optimal functionality, it is recommended to use the NPD-TA4 shoe with NP1 batteries and the data NP1 cable.
